University Expert in Interculturality, Justice and Global Change
Employing various theoretical perspectives on interculturality this University Expert course seeks to train professionals to identify and analyse in depth major contemporary phenomena and challenges related to cultural globalization processes. Students will acquire tools to design intercultural social, geographical, political, linguistic, pedagogical, existential and development projects, promoting the decolonisation of knowledge. This course also intends to act as a meeting point between different cultures, and a forum for reflection and debate for graduates from different disciplines. We encourage students from all socioeconomic backgrounds to apply.
4 Modules
Global justice. Migration, poverty and development
The study of migrations and forced displacements, poverty and development, applying different theories of justice and political philosophies and including specific issues and approaches from Africa, the Americas and Europe.
Geographical dimension of interculturality and global change: cultures and heritage, territories and human development
The rapid transformations of cultures and their territories. Interculturality as a response to major global questions and in search of planetary solutions.
Comparative philosophy
The approach of comparative philosophy to interculturality and the analysis of various ontologies (Indian, African, náhuatl y p´uhépecha).
Intercultural theories and projects
Various intercultural theories and development projects related to the fields of law, education, agrarian cooperativism, culture, linguistics and civil associations in different contexts (the Americas, Africa and Europe).
